Target Your Website Visitors Using Facebook Website Custom Audiences
This feature tracks the visitors to your website and builds a list. You can then run ads on Facebook directly targeted to this list. It’s a great way to target people who have already shown an interest in your product by visiting your website and remind them that you exist.
You can also get nice and detailed with this feature and show your ads to people who have visited a specific page of your website or you can stay broad and target your overall website visitors.
It’s a fantastic way to retarget through Facebook and convert any lost customers.
It’s pretty simple to set up. Here is how you do it.
Log in to your Adverts Manager.
Click “Create a Custom Audience”
A pop up will open giving you a variety of custom audience options. Click on ‘Website Traffic’
Accept the terms and conditions by ticking the box and then click on ‘create web remarketing pixel’.
You will be given two options, you can either click on ‘send the code to your website developer’ or, if you manage your own website you can copy and paste the code and add it to your website yourself. Once you have added the pixel to your website the tracking will begin and you will add any website visitors to a custom audience list. You can the use this list to create advertisements that are directly targeted to the website users in this list.
